Our Company
Tori McKee opened Best Practice Bookkeeping and Payroll LLC with two payroll clients and a laptop in 2017.
Since then, we’ve grown with clients from many different fields, from farm to medical office and so many others.
In Spring of 2020, Elizabeth Huddleston joined Tori as the first permanent employee. Shortly thereafter, we moved into office space in downtown Albany. We’re looking forward to the day when social distancing requirements are relaxed and we can welcome our clients to our office.
We have two additional “staff” that frequently spend time in the office. Zoey is Tori’s two-year-old shepherd mix rescue from Heartland Humane Society. Rosie is Elizabeth’s 6-month-old German Shepherd pup.

Tori McKee
Owner Tori Staub McKee moved to Lebanon at age 11 and graduated from Lebanon Union High School. She’s lived in Albany since 2002, after living in Sacramento and Seattle after high school. Tori earned an Associate degree in Accounting Technology from Linn-Benton Community College in 2005 and has been working in accounting since.
Tori’s worked for well-regarded local CPA firms in Corvallis and Albany prior to opening Best Practice Bookkeeping and Payroll in 2017. In 2008 Tori began working for a CPA in their high-volume payroll department, where she worked with approximately 120 payroll clients. She prepared varied and complex payrolls for businesses from logging to restaurants to retail, and everything in between. Doing payroll for a Christmas tree farm during harvest is no joke!
In addition to payroll, Tori has several years’ experience working as a staff accountant for a CPA, doing books and preparing tax returns for multiple clients.
During tax season, Tori works part-time for Minniti & Company CPAs in Salem as a tax preparer. She’s always loved the controlled chaos of tax season and feels that preparing tax returns helps her complete the cycle that begins with bookkeeping. Ultimately, she gets to do something she loves that also makes her a better bookkeeper.
In her free time, Tori enjoys cooking, camping, reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband Andy and their dog Zoey. She also spends time herding her backyard chickens and catering to the whims of her cat Cooper.
Elizabeth Huddleston
Elizabeth Huddleston graduated from Corvallis High School has lived in this area all her life. She earned an Associate of Science from Linn Benton Community College and went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies. She currently holds a Life and Health Insurance license and a Notary Public commission in Oregon.
She has worked in many realms over the years, including office management, insurance, sales and accounting. This gives her a great perspective and understanding in the workings of many types of business.
In addition to being a bookkeeper and managing our social media accounts, she works part-time as the office manager of a local machine shop – where she also does the bookkeeping. In her spare time, Elizabeth loves exploring this beautiful State with her son Garrett and dog Rosie. She enjoys the outdoors and likes to fish, camp, and hunt wild mushrooms in her time off.
